A MAN turned himself into a “human chair” to help a frail elderly lady after they got stuck in the lift for half an hour.
The photo of Cesar Laris, posing as a human bench for the woman has prompted an outpouring of support for his kindness, including hundreds of comments on Facebook.
Mr Laris, who works as a mover for College Hunks moving company in Tampa, Florida, was at an assisted living facility when he and his coworker became stuck in a lift with the elderly resident, who used a walker.
“We were riding with a very nice elderly woman,” Mr Laris told The Independent.
“As soon as it got stuck the lady said she could not stand for extended periods.”
“So I offered to serve as a chair. She was so thankful.”
Mr Laris spent 30 minutes in position as a “human chair”, letting the woman lean on him until the lift was fixed.
