Photos show the desperation and panic of Afghans fleeing a life under Taliban control in Kabul.
Photos emerging out of Afghanistan show heartbreaking, panicked scenes of desperate families scaling barbed wire walls in the hope of escaping their home and their country, now under control of the Taliban.
Hundreds of people descended on Hamid Karzai International Airport by any means they could, with at least seven people killed as they rushed onto the tarmac.

In what authorities believe to be one of the largest passenger loads flown by a C-17 aircraft, the US air force plane evacuated 640 Afghans on board the Reach 871.
Passengers were seen crammed in next to one another, with the passenger load increasing at takeoff as hundreds of Afghans climbed into the aircraft.
