TODAY’S attack in Westminster raises fears over a sinister mass murder method that is increasingly used by terrorists.

The Sun reports that witnesses saw a car mow down a dozen pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before crashing into the gates outside Parliament — but this bears similarities with a spate of atrocities in recent times.

Right before Christmas on December 19, a Tunisian ISIS fanatic drove a lorry into a Berlin Christmas market.

Twelve were killed when they were mown down as the lorry deliberately ploughed into crowds in Breitscheidplatz — a square in the German capital — at 65km/h.

This came just five months after the nightmarish scenes in Nice on Bastille Day where a lorry killed 84, ten of whom were children.

A chilling ISIS video then emerged calling on Islamic fanatics to repeat the atrocity in London.

Then there was the murder of Lee Rigby in London.

Michael Adebolajo and accomplice Michael Adebowale murdered Fusilier Lee, 25, near his barracks in Woolwich, South East London in 2013.

They mowed him down in a car before hacking him with knives and a cleaver.
