Vladimir Putin‘s unstoppable “Satan 2” hypersonic missile that is equipped with twelve warheads is reportedly capable of destroying a region the size of the UK, France or Texas in one fell swoop.

The deadly missile was reportedly launched yesterday, from Plesetsk Cosmodrome in Arkhangelsk Oblast, northwestern Russia.

According to Russian defence sources, it travelled almost the entire length of Russia, landing at Kura Missile Test Range on the Kamchatka Peninsula in 15 minutes.

Video shows the enormous 115-foot missile being launched from an underground silo, triggering an enormous fireball.

The killer 16,000mph Sarmat rocket can carry between 10 and 15 warheads which allows it to drop multiple nukes on an area in a single strike.

The bombs are 1,000 times more powerful than those dropped by the US on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan during World War Two.

This means they are capable of pulverising an area the size of England and Wales or Texas in the USA, The Sun reported.

Just one of them contains eight megatons of TNT-equivalent explosive power.

Officially said the RS-28 Sarmat has the capability to use trajectories and unpredictable routes that “substantially impede their destruction even by advanced missile defence systems”, according to the Kremlin.

Military expert Dr Paul Craig Roberts sensationally claimed that the “five or six” of the Russian missiles could wipe out the entire US east coast.

The Russian news outlet Sputnik previously reported that an RS-28 rocket is “capable of wiping out parts of the Earth the size of France or Texas”.

On that basis, it has been reported that the weapon could “wipe out an area the size of England and Wales twice over”.

Russia first announced it was testing the missile, in October 2017.

At the time, it was heralded as the most powerful and deadly atomic warhead on the planet.

Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau, the missile manufacturer, said it was “created in order to secure an effective nuclear deterrent of Russia‘s strategic forces”.

Built with new guidance technology capable of circumterrestrial navigation, the weapons are also able to strike from unexpected directions in most areas of the world.
