The body of a 29-year-old woman from Edinburgh has been found after a mysterious disappearance and days of searching.
A body has been found in the hunt for a missing 29-year-old who vanished three days ago.
Sophia Airey, 29, from Edinburgh, was last seen on Wednesday with her car discovered the next day.
A frantic search involving the Coastguard and an emergency helicopter was launched along the waterfront.
But police today revealed today a body was discovered in west Edinburgh on Saturday morning local time.
Although formal identification has not taken place, Sophia’s family have been informed of the discovery.

Sophia’s dad had issued a desperate plea for information after she disappeared.
Andy Airey tweeted: “Please share, help us find our beautiful daughter.”
Sophia was last seen at around 2.30pm on Wednesday wearing a multi-coloured Nike tracksuit.
Her car — a blue Skoda Fabia — was found the next day at Hawes Pier car park.
