Teenage daughter of anti-vax parents dies of Covid after they deny her lifesaving intervention

An ICU nurse has blamed a 14-year-old girl’s death on her parents not allowing staff to intubate her in the ICU.

A teenage girl has died of coronavirus after her anti-vaxxer parents refused to give hospital staff permission to administer lifesaving intubation.

The 14-year-old held the hand of a nurse named Jessica as she died on August 15 after a nine-day battle with Covid-19 in the Intensive Care Unit at a US hospital.

Her death could have been prevented if her parents had not have refused her intubation when she took a turn for the worst the day beforehand, Jessica said in a tweet.

“Tonight I helplessly held the hand of and stroked the hair of a beautiful 14-year-old girl as she exited this world. She was looking forward to starting high school and eventually becoming a veterinarian. It was so senseless,” one of a series of her tweets read.

“I truly believe she could have been saved if her parents had not forbidden us from intubating her.”

Jessica added that a “free vaccination would have prevented it all”.

“This little girl was robbed of her whole life and of fulfilling all of her dreams,” she said.

The nurse said the teen had been communicating well for seven days before rapidly deteriorating, becoming one of four Covid patient deaths in a single evening.

Jessica put the blame on the growing threat of conspiracy theorists spreading dangerous lies about the coronavirus vaccine.

She said two hours after the teen’s death, the ICU lost a 25-year-old mum who was 15 weeks pregnant.

“She had refused the vaccines because of the lies about them causing infertility and harming her baby. Liars killed her, her baby and robbed a two-year-old little boy of his mummy and sibling. Not to mention robbing a husband of his wife and child.”

Jessica said it was the first shift since March that more than three Covid patients had died in a single shift, with the oldest being just 45.

She also lambasted notable Covid misinformation spreader Dr Joseph Mercola, former US president Donald Trump and leader of a disturbing anti-vaccination movement in the US, Robert Kennedy Jr.
