Italian politicians ‘lose their s**t’ over virus lockdowns

Furious politicians in the worst-hit coronavirus nation are demanding citizens obey lockdown laws - even if they have to use extreme measures.

Politicians in Italy, where nearly 60,000 people have coronovirus and 5500 have died, are going nuts trying to browbeat their defiant constituents into obeying a national lockdown amid coronavirus.

“I’m getting news that some would like to throw graduation parties. We will send over the police — with flamethrowers,” president of Campania Vincenzo De Luca says in a video.

Four other Italian mayors and politicians can be seen lambasting folks for breaking the rules during the global crisis, the New York Post reports.

“Where the f**k are you all going? You and your dogs,” another says.

In a country famed for being overrun by tourists and party goers, the new normal - lock down and be safe - is obviously not coming easily to many people.

Another politician is seen in the compilation clip — which had more than 3.5 million views on Twitter — chastising someone outside for playing ping-pong.

“You can’t play ping-pong,” he says. “Go home and play some video games. I’m the mayor of this city. I will make you follow this decree. I don’t want excuses. You must go home.”

Another official blasts locals for going out and getting their hair done amid the outbreak of the deadly virus, according to the video.

“Getting in mobile hairdressers? What the f**k is that for? Who the f**k is supposed to even see you?” the politician says.

New York councillor Joe Borelli shared the video on Twitter and tweeted: “This is fantastic. Italian Mayors losing their sh-t at people wondering out of their homes!”

Two weeks ago, Italy’s prime minister placed the entire country under lockdown as it battles the spread of the highly transmissible bug.

As of Monday morning, there were 59,138 confirmed coronavirus cases in Italy and 5,476 deaths as a result of the virus, according to Johns Hopkins University.
