Victoria Police have issued 172 fines for breaches of health orders over the last 24 hours.

Victoria Police have issued 172 fines for breaches of health orders over the last 24 hours, with 27 of those for failing to wear a mask.

Twenty-two infringements were issued at vehicle checkpoints, while 4366 spot checks were conducted on people at homes, businesses and public places across the state.

Melbourne Pokemon Go player cops fine

Here are some examples provided by Victoria Police.

– A Keilor man was intercepted by police in the Surf Coast and admitted he had travelled there on Friday to stay at his holiday home.

– A Sunshine man was found in Melbourne playing Pokemon Go.

– A woman at Southern Cross Station attempting to travel to Bendigo.

– Two men located at a fast food outlet in Hobsons Bay who stated they had come from a friend’s house in Altona where they stayed overnight.

– A group of people who celebrated a birthday at a short-term rental in Point Cook.
