Sydney covid outbreak: Lisa urges Gladys to 'bite the bullet'

The Project host has urged the NSW Premier to fix one of the most frustrating details about Sydney's outbreak. 

 The Project’s Lisa Wilkinson has pointed out one of the most baffling – and frustrating – details of the outbreak so far.

 

Despite recording 77 cases today and expectations that tomorrow’s numbers will be over a hundred, lockdown for Greater Sydney is still scheduled to lift on Friday, a date that seems impossible in the current climate.

“I don't understand why Gladys Berejiklian won't just bite the bullet on and say, ‘There's no way we will come out of lockdown by Friday’,” Wilkinson told The Project panel on Sunday night.

“She’s the Premier that said to us, ‘we can all be adults, we know how to do the right thing’.“Well it turns out if you don't have clear enough messaging people weren't doing what she described as the right thing, but wouldn't be clear on what the right thing actually was.”
