Coronavirus Australia: Anti-maskers’ script revealed

The dangerous scripts anti-maskers are using when they’re confronted by police are being shared online to encourage others to use them.

A ‘COVID stop checklist’ is being circulated online, telling anti-maskers what to say if they are confronted by police.

Victorians refusing to wear masks are printing documents to have ready for any “unlawful police stops” and encouraging others to use them as Melbourne’s lockdown laws are enforced.

“As you are starting to see by the posts they work,” one woman said on Facebook, referring to the videos going viral as anti-maskers confront police.

“Remember, the POLICE work for us, not the other way around‼ YOU get to ask the questions‼ NOT them.”

Anti-maskers are refusing to give police their name and details and are adamant they are not breaking the law.

In Victoria people caught not wearing a mask risk getting fined $200.

Those supporting the anti-mask movement are being urged to record their encounters and told they are being tricked into entering a contract with police by providing agreement and consent.

Anti-maskers are sharing these “COVID stop responses” scripts online.

“If we start realising that we are not to fear the police and that we have the rights then, together united we can make a difference,” the post continues.

“They believe that are doing their job. This is a conditioning of society into believing that we are breaking laws.

“We have all been tricked, including those who have taken an oath to serve and protect us. We must always be respectful and calm.”

The post includes links to several documents with COVID stop questions, a notice to police, schedule of fees for unlawful stop and detention and “police powers and you”.

It comes as a woman sparked outrage over the weekend after refusing to wear a mask inside a Bunnings store.

“It’s clear I don’t and you are not authorised to ask me or question me about it,” she said in the video.

The woman was then asked if she wanted to speak to the manager, who told her she needed a medical certificate if she wanted to continue into the store.

“I actually don’t need a medical certificate,” she said.

“You’re discriminating against me.”

When another staff member told her the mask was a condition of entry, she lashed out.

“That’s discrimination and I can have you sued personally for discriminating against me as a woman,” she said.

“It’s an unlawful condition of entry, therefore that exposes you, personally and Bunnings to being sued for discrimination because it is in breach of the 1948 Charter of Human Rights to discriminate against men and women.”

Footage later emerged of her berating staff at a post office.

Others have since emerged spouting the same lines.

Anti-maskers have been told to read from the same script in their confrontations.

Last week Eve Black, who calls the pandemic a “SCAMdemic” on social media, uploaded vision of her interaction with officers at a lockdown checkpoint, saying she didn’t need to say where she was going, before driving off.

James Bartolo, leader of the conspiracy group The Conscious Truth Network, also uploaded a video of himself arguing with officers for 20 minutes about whether their actions at checkpoints were legal.

Mr Bartolo used similar language to Ms Black, who was reading from a script on a piece of paper in her video.

Eve Black believes the coronavirus pandemic is a hoax.

The COVID stop responses tell people if they are in a car to lock the doors and wind the window down slightly, turn your phone on and start filming.

“Do not answer any questions - always respond with a question from the list,” it tells people.

“Say nothing other than what is printed here in bold. Repeat each question until it is answered.”

The questions include:

1. Have I disturbed the peace?

2. Have I committed a crime?’

3. Am I under arrest?

4. Did you take an oath to uphold the Law?

5. Do you agree I am a living man/woman?

6. Does your oath include upholding my lawful rights?

7. Are you acting as a member and employee of the capital lettered private

corporation VICTORIA POLICE?

8. I decline to do business with your corporation and I object to your attempt to

coerce a contract. Please identify yourself by giving to me, in writing, your

name, rank and place of Duty.

9. Are you refusing to comply with my request?

The document then suggests people tell a police officer that anything they say or do can be used against them in a court of law and after insisting another constable intervenes, instruct them to arrest the officer.

It then tells people to serve police with the schedule of fees for unlawful detention document.

“Your continuation of this unlawful detention is taken as your consent and agreement to this schedule of fees and the terms of payment,” the script says.

“I take note that you are armed, that you are carrying a pistol, and thus, as you are depriving me of my liberty, you are committing armed kidnap and any and all your actions from this moment will be aggravated by you carrying a weapon.”

The schedule of fees sets out different items included $50,000 for “nonconsensual interactions, determined at my discretion, and/or unlawful detention taking our time and preventing us from being able to continue on our way”.

That document then also goes on to strangely say, “We are not a citizen, nor an alien”.

People have slammed those sharing the documents, saying they are a “disgrace”.

“People are dying, losing family members and having a hard time and you go out making it even worse,” one man said.

“Giving people that are already have a tough job making their lives even harder. Enough is enough from you, seriously embarrassing! You should be ashamed of yourself and your behaviour.”

Premier Daniel Andrews said the anti-maskers had “no basis in science or fact” and urged people not to give “oxygen” to people who spouted conspiracy theories.

“The thing with conspiracy theorists, the more you engage in an argument with them, the more oxygen you are giving them,” he said.

“Ultimately, I think people can judge for themselves the efficacy, the credibility of people who are running those sort of key lord warrior campaigns.

“Seriously, one more comment about human rights - honestly. It is about human life.”
