Australia Covid news live: NSW's reopening date for unvaccinated could change

New reports suggest the NSW government is considering scrapping the December 1 reopening date for unvaccinated residents.

Victoria recorded 1656 new Covid cases and 10 deaths on Friday, following on from the grim 25 fatalities confirmed on Thursday.

NSW recorded 268 locally acquired cases and two deaths today.

There are concerns Sydney could soon see cases rise again, with more than a dozen infections linked to an inner-city gym.
