AN AMERICAN CEO has been accused of a Fifty Shades of Grey-style physical relationship with his former girlfriend, eventually leading to repeated rape.
The ex-flame of Scott Kveton, CEO of Portland-based tech start-up Urban Airship, has submitted evidence including emails and text messages to police, detailing their dark and dirty love tryst that the couple believed was reminiscent of the infamous erotica novel, reports The Oregonian.
Before the pair began dating, the woman worked as a nanny for the CEO’s family.
He has two children and is living with his current girlfriend, Sarah Tuthill.
The 34-year-old woman, who is not being named, told investigators the couple engaged in “pushing each other’s boundaries”, but in a number of emails and texts he pushed “too far”, she wrote.
During a string of off-again-on-again encounters, it is alleged Kveton ambushed the woman in a closet, gripped her in a bear hug, dragged her into a bedroom and tied her by the wrists.
It was only when she threatened to call authorities that he let her go, it is claimed.
The allegations allegedly took place in 2012 and 2013, meanwhile it is believed he also videotaped her during sex acts without consent.
Kveton was previously facing sexual abuse charges in 2010 and 2011, but has not yet been charged for any of the allegations.
Kveton’s attorney, Stephen Houzer, released a statement pleading the public assume innocence until proven guilty.
“The presumption of innocence that is the cornerstone of our system of American justice, a concept that can be so easily destroyed by the sensational reporting of salacious and unproven allegations,” he wrote.
Kveton has been interviewed by police, but denied the allegations made against him. Prosecutors declined to charge him.
