UK urges robust action on IS

MPS and the public should be behind military strikes on IS in Syria, Britain's health secretary says.

FAILING to take on Islamic State in its Syrian heartland could be seen as "weakness" by the jihadis, Britain's health secretary has claimed, as the government moves towards recommending military action to take on the terror group.

JEREMY Hunt says the government wants to re-examine the case for a bombing campaign in Syria, but stressed it would need the support of MPs and the public.
