Ted 2 lags behind Jurassic World

TED 2 has debuted in third place at the US box office which is again dominated by blockbuster Jurassic World after taking in $54 million at the weekend.

SETH MacFarlane's Ted 2 opened far under expectations with $US32.9 million ($A43.17 million), according to Rentrak estimates on Sunday, ceding the top two spots to holdovers Jurassic World and Inside Out.
