Six Legionnaires' cases in Christchurch
A COOLING tower has been pinpointed as the source of a Legionnaires' outbreak in Christchurch, which has affected six people.
SIX people have been diagnosed with Legionnaires' disease in the New Zealand city of Christchurch, which has been linked to a cooling tower in an industrial area.
THE six have been treated in hospital and have recovered from the Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 strain. None needed intensive care treatment.
