Relatives can aid elderly fight depression

IT'S often difficult to recognise depression in older people because the symptoms can be easily confused with dementia.

WHEN elderly people get depressed, they often need twice as much help to overcome it.

RELATIVES can take walks with them and make sure that they don't neglect themselves, according to a report published in the trade magazine Pro Alter (Pro Age).
