Mozambique to destroy ivory, rhino horns
MORE than a tonne of confiscated ivory and rhino horn will be destroyed by authorities in Mozambique as a blow against poaching, a conservation group says.
MOZAMBIQUE plans to destroy more than one tonne of confiscated ivory as well as 53 rhino horns to show its resolve in the fight against poaching, a New York-based conservation group says.
CITING Mozambican authorities, the Wildlife Conservation Society said on Saturday that the destruction of the stockpile will happen Monday in Maputo, the capital.
