Inquest opens into tourist's death in NZ

A CORONER'S inquest into the hiking death of Australia-based student Yessica Asmin is set to begin in New Zealand.

AN inquest into the death of an Australia-based hiker in New Zealand is about to open in Queenstown just days after the anniversary of the incident.

YESSICA Asmin, a 22-year-old Sydney-based Indonesian student, died after bring swept into the raging Clinton River on May 19, 2014, while hiking on the Milford Track.
