POLICE have laid nine murder charges against the 21-year-old man suspected of killing nine people during a shooting spree at a South Carolina church.

THE man suspected of killing nine people during a shooting spree at a Charleston church has been charged with nine counts of murder.

DYLANN Storm Roof, 21, was scheduled to make his first South Carolina court appearance at 2pm local time on Friday.
