Boy seriously injured in US shark attack

BATHERS are being urged to stay out of the water at a Florida beach, after an 11-year-old boy was seriously injured in a shark attack.

AN 11-year-old boy has been left with serious leg injuries after being mauled by a shark at a beach on Florida's East Coast.

THE boy was playing just metres from the shoreline at Cocoa Beach when he was attacked on Monday.
