AT least ten people have died after a car packed with explosives hit the convoy of the ambassador for the United Arab Emirates in the Somali capital.

AT least 10 people have been killed in a suicide car bombing targeting a convoy of the ambassador for the United Arab Emirates in the Somali capital Mogadishu, a security official says.

AMBASSADOR Mohamed al-Othmani was not harmed in Wednesday's attack, but members of the security forces and others were killed, Mohamed Hassan said.
