THE death toll from a batch of toxic alcohol in India has risen to 41, with 12 others in hospital.
FORTY-ONE people have died in India and 12 others are fighting for their lives after drinking toxic home-made liquor, police say.
DHANANJAY Kulkarni, Mumbai police deputy commissioner, said the victims had started to fall ill on Wednesday morning after consuming the illicit moonshine.
