AT least 12 Afghan civilians have been killed in a pair of roadside bomb explosions in the country's east and north.

GENERAL Abdul Karim Fayeq, provincial police chief in Kapisa province, said 10 civilians were killed and at least seven others wounded after their van hit by a newly planted roadside bomb on Sunday.
