Fears for Brit backpacker missing in Thailand who told her worried mum ‘people are out to hurt me’
POLICE have launched a search operation after a young British backpacker went missing shortly after sending a chilling message from Thailand.
INTERPOL have launched a huge search after a young British woman disappeared in Thailand.
According to The Sun, Grace Taylor, 21, from Swanage, went missing while travelling around the backpackers’ paradise.
Her parents officially reported her as a missing person to Dorset Police on Sunday morning after they’d not heard from her since Tuesday.
Her mother Sam Taylor wrote on Facebook: “STILL MISSING. Grace contacted us from Ao Nang, she was very stressed and frightened saying that people were trying to hurt her and were following her and she wanted to come home.
“We calmed her down and booked her a flight from Krabi but she never arrived at the airport by taxi and has gone missing again.”
A spokesman for the Dorset force said: “We received a call on Sunday morning reporting a missing woman travelling alone in Thailand.
“The family haven’t been able to speak to her since Tuesday, February 16.
“We are now liaising with Interpol and an investigation is underway.”
Grace’s mum Sam Taylor has posted a Facebook appeal for help in finding her daughter which has been shared more than 30,000 times.
“We are desperately worried, all previous backpacker sightings have reported that she is disorientated and not in a good mental state.
“Please can I reach out to the backpacker community once again to look out for her and get her safe. We are flying out tonight to come and bring her home.”
