NORTH Korea has reportedly broadcast a series of mysterious numbers believed to be a coded message to its secret agents.

During the broadcast by state-controlled station Radio Pyongyang, the content took a turn for the unexpected when the host started to read a coded message full of “pagers and numbers,” reports the Daily Star.

The broadcast is believed to be a “book cipher” for sleeper cells in foreign countries.

Security analysts have warned the hermit kingdom may be preparing for an attack after spy satellites spotted missile launches moving around the country.

A source within the South Korean foreign ministry told the Daily Star a launch could come “at any time.”

Meanwhile, Chinese websites are censoring “Kim Fatty the Third,” a nickname widely used to disparage North Korean leader, after officials from his country reportedly conveyed their displeasure in a meeting with their Chinese counterparts.

Searches for the Chinese words “Jin San Pang” on the search engine Baidu and microblogging platform Weibo returned no results this week.

The nickname pokes fun at Kim’s girth and his status as the third generation of the Kim family to rule the world’s only hereditary communist dynasty. It’s especially popular among young, irreverent Chinese who tend to look down on their country’s would-be ally.

Relations between China and North Korea have been strained by the North’s nuclear weapons program.
