Accused paedophile Peter Scully treats jail ‘like a resort’
A FILIPINO jail doesn’t sound like it would be a trip to a resort, but that’s exactly how an accused paedophile is treating it.
A FILIPINO jail doesn’t sound like it would be a trip to a resort, but that’s exactly how one of Australia’s most notorious accused paedophiles is treating it.
Peter Scully was accused of committing some of the most horrific crimes in the Philippines in the past five years and since being jailed in 2015, he’s been demanding the royal treatment.
His former lawyer Alejandra Jose Pallugna revealed to Fairfax Media Mr Scully was treating jail like a holiday.
On Mr Scully’s long list of jail demands, he requests access to a mobile phone and 5kg of fresh beef, pork and chicken.
“Like he lives in a resort,” Mr Pallugna told Fairfax Media.
Mr Scully also requested his former lawyer visit him twice a week.
Mr Pallugna dumped Mr Scully as a client because he couldn’t “withstand his crazy and eccentric attitude and personality”.
Mr Scully was accused of being one of the most horrific paedophiles in history. The tall and slim 53-year-old man from Melbourne moved to the Philippines in 2011 after being accused of fraud.
He was then later arrested in the Philippines where he was allegedly running a global paedophile ring.
He was also accused of torturing and sexually abusing children as young as 18 months old, human trafficking and murdering a 12-year-old.
Mr Scully’s Australian business associates alleged he once married a Malaysian teenager and pimped her out as a prostitute in Melbourne before fleeing the country in 2011.
Last year 60 Minutes reported two girlfriends allegedly helped Mr Scully set up his paedophile ring — one was just 14 when Mr Scully took her off the streets.
It was alleged Mr Scully and his girlfriends would poach the victims from poverty-stricken families and would offer them food and bring them home.
Mr Scully also allegedly paid families for children and once even “bought” one girl with a bag of rice.
When Mr Scully was arrested last year, police allegedly found a skeleton buried under a house Mr Scully had rented.
According to 60 Minutes a 13-year-old girl said her family allowed her to do housework at Mr Scully’s but she alleged he forced her to perform sex acts with other young girls.
She escaped from Mr Scully’s house after she was allegedly told her he had sold her to a German.
Mr Scully has pleaded not guilty to the rape and trafficking of two teenage girls and is awaiting his trial.
