Fans accuse Harry of ‘disrespectful’ act

A video of Harry appearing not to sing the new lyrics of the British national anthem during the Quene’s funeral has sparked fierce debate - was he sending a brutal message to King Charles?
Royal watchers have slammed the act as “disrespectful” as thousands of mourners paused to sing the British national anthem during the late monarch’s state service, with a viral video showing the Duke of Sussex seemingly not joining in.

Meanwhile, what could have been a moment of redemption and unity for the royal family was seemingly trumped by “grudges and pettiness”, as fans pointed out how Meghan and Harry were snubbed during the ceremony.
While the Princess Royal’s son Peter Phillips (17th in line to the throne) and her daughter Zara Tindall (20th in line) had plum front row positions, next to the Prince and Princess of Wales, Harry (now 5th in line) and Meghan were shoved in literal second string territory.
Harry and Meghan have publicly spoken out against the royals since they moved to the US in early 2020, making particularly strong comments about Harry’s estrangement from Charles.
In the couple’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, Harry claimed Charles cut him off financially, and that the new monarch stopped taking his phone calls.
