When you think of the Northern Territory, you think of crocs, and some of our scaly residents have developed quite a public profile.

BRUTUS

Brutus calls the Adelaide River home and is about 5.6m long. He’s also missing his right front leg, not that he seems bothered.

This Adelaide River saltie hasn't been officially measured but is estimated to be 6.1m in length.

DOMINATOR

Once a fearsome presence in the Sweets Lookout billabong, the 5.1m saltie sadly died during a relocation effort in 1979.

SWEETHEART

The Cage of Death at Darwin’s Crocosaurus Cove lets you share the water with Chopper — a 5.5m saltie that's about  90 years old.

CHOPPER

Also calling Crocosaurus Cove home, Burt once starred in Crocodile Dundee, but is now best known for his psychic ability.

BURT

The 4.6m albino-headed croc was a regular sight on the Adelaide river before he was killed in 2014 after taking a fisherman's life.
