Every resumé has at least one job or brief career segue you’d rather forget. And it appears even Hollywood stars aren’t immune from job regret. Here’s a list of roles our stars wish they never took on.

Will Smith A Winter’s Tale (2014)

Will Smith made a brief appearance as Lucifer in the highly criticised film A Winter's Tale . Smith’s two-minute scene couldn’t save the film, which scored a 13 per cent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Angelina Jolie - Cyborg 2 (1993)

This science fiction film is known as one of Angelina Jolie’s most unfortunate roles. “After I saw it, I went home and got sick,” Jolie, who played Casella Reese, told The New York Times .

Leonardo DiCaprio - Critters 3 (1991)

This was a young Leonardo Di Caprio’s film debut. It scored a zero per cent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and was ranked his worst film to date by Rolling Stone .

Jennifer Lawrence - The Beaver (2011)

Jennifer Lawrence starred alongside Mel Gibson and a beaver puppet in the 2011 film The Beaver . Directed by Jodie Foster, the film was deemed oddly unique and received poor reviews from many media outlets.

Channing Tatum - G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra (2009)

Channing Tatum has voiced his regret for his role in this film. In an interview with Howard Stern in 2015, the actor confessed his dislike for the movie his contract with Paramount forced him to be part of.

Jamie Foxx - Booty Call (1997)

Jamie Foxx starred in a 1997 comedy called Booty Call , a film with a plot that centres around his character’s quest to find condoms. Enough said.

Jennifer Aniston - Leprechaun (1993)

Before rising to fame on Friends , Jennifer Aniston made her film debut in this Irish horror film. While Aniston may want to put the memory to rest as the film was heavily criticised and has been regarded as her worst role thus far.

Brad Pitt - The Devil’s Own (1997)

The New York Times reported in 1997 that Brad Pitt threatened to quit this action flick at one point during filming and also reportedly called the movie “the most irresponsible bit of filmmaking—if you can even call it that—that I've ever seen.”
