NSW granted new freedoms after major Covid-19 milestone

NSW has achieved another major goal after becoming the first state to hit the 80 per cent double vaccination mark - and that means new freedoms.
• Up to 20 visitors will be allowed in a home
What are the new rules?
• Up to 50 people will be able to gather outdoors
• Standing and drinking will be permitted in pubs
• 3000 people will be able to attend ticketed outdoor events
• No caps for weddings and funerals, as long as all guests are fully vaccinated
• Density limits will be removed for hairdressers and other personal care services
 One of the most hated rules has also been scrapped - face masks are no longer mandatory in offices.
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet said it was time to “celebrate an incredibly important milestone” as he announced the eased restrictions.
To mark the major NSW milestone,  the Sydney Opera House was lit up with images of frontline workers “who have made enormous sacrifices, particularly our nurses".
