Train commuters warned of major delays in Sydney
Sydneysiders could be in for commuter chaos this morning due to urgent track repairs, with passengers warned to expect delays.
Commuters are being warned of major delays due to urgent track repairs in Sydney’s CBD.
Transport NSW issued the warning on Thursday morning, advising passengers to allow plenty of extra travel time on the rail network
As a result of the trackwork happening between Circular Quay and St James trains will be travelling in one direction only around the City Circle.
Trains on the T2 Inner West and Leppington Line, T3 Bankstown Line and T8 Airport and South Line are experiencing delays as a result.
Transport NSW said some stopping patterns and platforms may change at short notice.
Passengers on the T1 North Shore and Western Line and T9 Northern Lines have also been warned to allow for extra trave time due to a train with a mechanical issue at Central earlier.
Passengers have been asked to listen to announcements and check information displays for service updates.
