Travel blogger couple Lauren Bullen and Jack Morris split
They were the couple that had it all. A mansion, six-figure salary and a lavish globetrotting lifestyle. But that wasn’t enough.
They were a couple that — on the surface — had it all.
A $1.2 million Balinese mansion, jetsetting around the world and earning a six-figure salary sharing their envious lifestyles on social media.
But for world-famous travel bloggers Jack Morris, 30, and 28-year-old Aussie girlfriend Lauren Bullen, there was one thing missing from their lives.
Happiness.
In separate posts uploaded late Tuesday night on Instagram, Manchester-born Morris and Ms Bullen revealed they had quietly broken up in March.
The pair, who have a combined following of almost five million on social media, gained popularity on Instagram by sharing photos and videos of their globetrotting adventures around the world.
In the summer of 2018, the pair decided to buy their dream home in Bali but, after failing to find the right house, built their own Insta-worthy pad for a whopping $1.2 million.
But less than two years later, Ms Bullen said the pair had come to the “hardest” decision of their young lives.
“It’s really hard for me to find words for this post. and a post I really never thought I’d be making,” Ms Bullen wrote alongside several photos of the pair together.
“But life happened & Jack and I decided to split last month.
“This for sure was the hardest decision I’ve ever made. Sadly the last year we let our relationship slip away from under us.”
Ms Bullen said while “from the outside it looked like we had everything you could want and more”, there was one thing missing in their relationship.
“One thing was missing,” she wrote.
“Something more important to me than anything, happiness.”
Ms Bullen praised her now ex-partner, saying he was “the best thing” to come into her life.
“We had an instant and inseparable connection,” she wrote.
“I’m so proud of everything we achieved together.
“You pushed me to work harder and dream bigger and I was always so inspired by your dedication and determination to succeed.”
Ms Bullen said the past few weeks after making the decision about their future together had been difficult, with the pair spending time sitting and crying together.
“We reminisced on the past 5 years of love, adventure and fun together, which has brought us both so much closure and understanding of why we couldn’t make it work as a couple any longer,” she wrote, noting the pair were “still such good friends” and will continue to work as business partners.
Mr Morris echoed Ms Bullen’s post, writing that the decision to end their relationship was “difficult” for both of them, but a “decision we know is for the best”.
“I spent by far the best years of my life with this girl, and I’ll cherish those memories forever,” he wrote.
“It’s pretty rare to find someone you instantly click with, share the same dreams with, and then be fortunate enough to go out and take on the world together.”
“Who knows where this next chapter will take us, wherever it does, I’ll always be so thankful for the years we spent together, and for our friendship that we’ll always continue to share,” he added.
