An Aussie couple got the shock of their lives when they found a bottle washed up on a beach in far north Queensland with a note.
An Aussie couple travelling around Australia received the shock of their lives when they found a bottle washed up on a beach in far north Queensland with a note.
Instead of finding a love letter, Rick and Crystal, found the ashes of a man called Geoffrey.
As Rick shook out what he thought was sand in bottle he was aghast to read the attached note: “Here lies the ashes of Geoffrey, if found please throw the bottle in the outgoing tide so I can continue my journey.”
“Oh no,” said an embarrassed Rick.
Their TikTok followers were quick to see the funny side.
One person joked, “Omg that’s my dad.”
“Well, anyway welcome to Australia,” another said.
“That’s the end of his journey,” a person quipped.
