Emirates flight attendant’s makeup clip stuns
An Emirates flight attendant has left viewers baffled with her before and after clip following a 14-hour flight, with the footage going viral.
Emirates flight attendants are known for their eye-catching attire from their sleek beige and red suit, cropped jacket, red pill-box hat and scarf — and of course striking red lipstick.
During long-haul flights while we’re looking a bit dishevelled, cabin crew are anything but, with their uniforms [still] immaculate, hair in place and makeup in tact.
Of course, one would think after a 14-hour flight there would be touch-ups particularly when dealing with red lipstick – but not this flight attendant.
British cabin crew member of more than four years, Dani, who goes by the handle ‘Daniboy’ on TikTok, shocked viewers after she shared a before and after clip of her makeup.
“I just got to my hotel room now. I’ve had my makeup on for about 20 hours and I’ve not done a single touch up yet,” she said.
“No lipstick, no concealer. I’ve ate, drank and slept in my makeup and this is how it looks.”
Dani showed footage of her makeup still looking in perfect condition with barely a difference compared to how it looked prior to a long haul flight from Dubai to Seattle in the US.
She showed a photo of the time before she left her house to go to the airport which read, 7.05am and then when she arrived at her hotel in Seattle - at 3.02pm.
“My eyes randomly kept watering during the flight so my under eyes didn’t last as well as they usually would,” she added.
“[But] after years of experimenting, my products and routine finally passes the flight attendant wear test.”
Her clip has been viewed 3.1 million times with many baffled by how intact her makeup was despite the lengthy flight.
“OMGGG WHAAAAT,” one stunned viewer wrote.
“Literally my first thought when I flew Emirates for the first time was that I need makeup tips from these ladies! the red lips are always flawless!” wrote another.
A third person joked: “Every time I look like a [frog] at the airport the Emirate Girlies walk by (sic) … they’re always so gorgeous and put together.”
Another agreed: “I always feel like such a goblin when I take an Emirates flight hahaha. You are stunning!”
Others were keen to know how her foundation didn’t transfer onto the white scarf attached to her hat.
“The scarf isn’t worn throughout the flight it can also be cleaned easily and I spray some hairspray onto it to help the makeup transfer,” Dani responded to viewers.
Meanwhile, most of the hundreds of people who commented were desperate to know Dani’s makeup routine.
“Omg show all the products please!!!” one demanded.
“You look amazing drop the secrets,” said another.
The flight attendant shared a follow-up clip with the brand names of all the products she uses including her red lipstick which appeared to not have moved despite more than 20 hours of travel.
“The lipstick is my current obsession!” Dani said, revealing it’s the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink (currently $12 at Chemist Warehouse).
“It is the holly grail – it is the best long-wearing lipstick I’ve ever come across.
More Coverage
“I think the key for this not going crispy or bitty on your lips is taking care of your lips,” Dani advised.
“Once a week I’ll do a sugar scrub on my lips and I’ll sleep every single night with vaseline to keep them hydrated.”
The flight attendant also revealed she uses the e.l.f Power Grip Primer saying it’s the key to keeping her makeup on for more than 20 hours and the Vichy dermablend foundation.
