If there is one person who takes their job very seriously, it’s got to be this Balinese tour guide — and social media users have fallen in love with him.

Picture a Balinese man wearing a black T-shirt, shorts (that are soaking wet), and a back-to-front baseball cap as he stands ankle deep before a waterfall.

He throws one hand behind his head while another hand points to the sky. Ahead of him by the waterfall is a female tourist in a bikini standing on a rock and a shirtless man, mimicking his pose.

This exact scene took place at the popular Kanto Lampo Waterfall in Gianyar where behind those Insta-worthy shots is a dedicated Balinese tour guide named Wayan Denis.

This Bali tour guide is amazing

Wayan has become a viral sensation for his unique talent for coaching tourists. A recent TikTok of him showing the couple how to pose clocked a massive 18 million views.

“Oh you’re coming home with me,” TikTok user Andre Esho Bagir wrote alongside his clip.

During his wait, the Swede caught an iconic moment of Wayan in action as he gestured for the man to hold his friend’s waist to lift her up – just like Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing (though not as high).

“A lot of people stood in line to be [shot] by him – including me – and all of us watched him so intensely and were amazed by his dedication. I felt that I definitely couldn’t miss recording this, and I had so much fun while recording it,” the content creator told Coconuts Bali.

He said he had never seen anything like it and was “astonished’ guides like this exist.

The publication was able to track the tour guide down, revealing he was a former restaurant worker before taking on the gig as a guide back in 2014.

But, as we’ve witnessed, he’s not just any guide. He’s one with sass and flair.

Wayan said he studies pictures on social media, especially Instagram, which serve as his reference point.

And he’s not he only one offering coaching services as part of their photography package.

“In total there are 10 others [in Kanto Lampo Waterfall] – all of them are my friends,” he said.

Also, he was born as I Wayan Sukanada, but the 35-year-old said he goes by the nickname “Wayan Denis” because “it sounds cool”.

And following the viral TikTok, social media users have fallen in love with him.

The clip has attracted 2.7 million ‘likes’ and thousands of comments.

“Man I love this guy!” one user wrote.

“I love him; he’s been on my FYP [for you page] like six times,” another said.

Others appreciated the dedication he has to his craft.

“This person out there putting 200 per cent effort into his job,” one TikTok user wrote.

A second person said: “That is someone who loves their job! Bravo Bali Guide,” while a third added: “Like literally, Balinese are so cute and hardworking, and they know the trick and tips.”

One person joked that “from now on I will not accept any energy less than this”.

Meanwhile, while Mr Esho Bagir was unable to get coached by Wayan as he had moved on from the spot by the time the influencer reached the front of the line, another guide was able to help him get a “decent” snap.

The TikToker begged tourists not to take advantage of the guides’ hospitality, saying, “They are too sweet to even ask for payment.”
