An Australian beauty influencer has endured a “flight from hell” while travelling from Canada to Sydney, unleashing on the entire flight, hotel and roadtrip experience.

Chloe Morello, who has a following on Instagram of more than 1 million, along with her husband Sebastian Mecha and their two children, Santino, 2, and Leonela, 1, suffered more than 48 hours of travel chaos from Toronto to Sydney after a recent visit to see family.

Ms Morello, who unloaded on Instagram about each detail of the trip, said the chaos started as soon as they arrived at the airport in Toronto.

“It truly was the journey from hell,” she explained to fans.

“I have two little babies as you know … We had to travel from Toronto all the way to Australia, that of course involves a stopover. We were supposed to be stopping in Vancouver and then flying to Sydney and driving the four hours to Batemans Bay.”

However, Ms Morello explained that due to illness the week prior, their original tickets that would see the young family stopover in Vancouver before heading to Sydney had to be changed to go via Dallas instead, which she claims came at a cost of $200 per ticket.

But as soon as they arrived at the airport in Toronto, Ms Morello said they were met with one hurdle after the next.

“We go to check in and I wanted to get one of the kids jumpers out so they’re not cold on the flight,” she explained.

“But the zipper on Sebastian’s luggage breaks. So we have to cancel checking in and go and buy a new bag.

“It was $300 because there are no options at the airport and we transfer everything into the new bag. But we were still laughing at this point.”

However, it’s what happened in the hours following check-in that sent the 33-year-old into a spin.

“We finally check-in and all is good … then we discover that our flight has been delayed,” she explained.

“This is not good because we literally had 50 minutes to make it to our new flight once we landed in Dallas.

“It was already short on time to make our connection to Australia, so we knew then and there after checking in that we would be missing our Australian flight.”

The beauty influencer said the plane had “mechanical problems” which is what caused the delay from Toronto to Dallas.

“Because we were going to miss our connection, the airline [American Airlines] said we could take the same flight the very next day and be stuck in Dallas for a whole day or, we could fly Toronto to Chicago and then Chicago to LA and then LA to Sydney.

“We said, that sounds horrendous … we will just stay in Dallas.”

Morello said they missed their connection to Sydney by just 10 minutes, and with two unsettled children in tow, begrudgingly proceeded to their 2.5 star hotel room in Dallas.

However, after 90 minutes of “absolute hell” waiting for transport from the airport to their accommodation, the mum-of-two was met with a “disgusting” sight after entering the hotel room.

“We turn up and it’s a fairly raggedy motel but it’s not that bad,” she explained.

“However, we get into the hotel room and there’s just one bed. So I call the front desk and I ask for a cot because we have a one-year-old. They said ‘we are not that kind of establishment and we don’t have a cot’.”

The hotel front desk advised Morello she could use the pull out bed from the lounge as a secondary space for sleep.

“I go and unfold the double bed,” she explains alongside an image of the sofa bed.

“If you were to zoom in, I found four dirty tissues crumpled up and lots of hairs. It had not been changed since the last people.”

After sorting fresh linen and dealing with the “disgusting” situation herself, Ms Morello said the next challenge was dealing with a whole day with her young children and all their luggage prior to a 9.15pm flight to Sydney.

“Of course they wake up early … a little bit jet-lagged I guess,” she said.

“The vouchers they gave us are only for the airport … so we had to use our own money to find breakfast and lunch, all because American Airlines had mechanical problems. It’s so annoying the whole situation.”

After arriving at the airport six hours early, Ms Morello said her eldest child, Sonny, fell asleep straight away and remained that way throughout the entire check in process.

After enduring the 17 hours Qantas flight to Sydney, Ms Morello said it was the drive from Sydney to Batemans Bay that officially broke her.

“We started our journey down to Batemans Bay which was about five hours including stops you have to make with kids,” she said.

“About half way down both the kids got sick … I was in the middle seat between the two car seats which was very uncomfortable while holding an empty cup of coke filled with chunder.

“Generally the four hour car ride smelt like vomit … and this was the only point that I started to cry. It had been two days since we left Toronto, and that is when I started to cry and had a breakdown.

“It was f**ked … but we made it”.
