Sydney real estate agent found dead in Bali after music festival

A Sydney real estate agent has been found dead in Bali after attending a local music festival.

An Australian family is desperately searching for answers after a young real estate agent was found dead in Bali over the weekend.

Charlie John Bradley was found unresponsive in the middle of the street in north Kuta on Sunday, according to Network Ten.

He had reportedly been out partying when he took a taxi home hours before his body was found only minutes away from his accommodation.

The 28-year-old had travelled to the Indonesian holiday hotspot with a friend to attend a music festival over the weekend, his family told Network Ten.

His sister Beth took to social media on Monday to announce the tragic news.

“It breaks my heart to share with you all the death of my brother Charlie,” she wrote on Facebook.

“This shocking news has rocked our family entirely, Charlie was loved by so many.”

She shared a collection of photos of her beloved brother surrounded by his loving family, both as a child and an adult.

“(L)et this be a reminder to you all that life is too short, and hug those closest to you tightly,” she wrote in her emotional post.

Local authorities have reportedly launched an investigation into Charlie’s untimely death.

An online fundraiser has been set up to help his family bring his body back to Australia.

At the time of writing, it was just over $500 short of its $40,000 target aimed at helping the family with the funeral costs.

The organiser Beverly Page wrote that many hearts had been broken by the news of the death of a “cherished son” and “mate to so many.”

“He had the biggest heart and personality and everyone who had the fortune of meeting him loved him,” she wrote.

“His contagious smile, good looks and charm were only a few of his many qualities and he will be terribly missed by so many.”

NCA NewsWire has contacted the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for comment about the repatriation arrangements.

While his family lives in Adelaide, Charlie had moved to Sydney to pursue work as a real estate agent a few years ago.

He was also a keen boxing instructor who was praised as a “a great coach, a great fighter, and even greater person” by a friend mourning Charlie’s death online.

“I’ll always remember our epic battles inside the ring but mostly what a gent you was (sic) out of the ring, fly high brother,” another friend wrote on social media.
