THERE'S a welded up panel van, a group of eight eerie-looking, red men squatting like frogs, a dump truck and a giant "OMG".

These are just a handful of more than 70 sculptures featured at the eighth annual Sculpture by the Sea exhibition at Cottesloe Beach in Western Australia.

Running until March 19, the free event shows off international and local artists, as well as the beautiful Perth seaside.

Judges from across the country have already awarded their favourite artists for their contribution to the exhibit.

This year's big winner was Paul Caporn, whose sculpture "Dump" of a bright yellow truck won him the NAB WA Sculptor Scholarship, valued at $15,000.

But there's still a chance for your favourite artworks and artists to win some much deserved prize money. The Sculpture by the Sea People's Choice Prize and NAB Kid's Choice Prize will be announced on Sunday, March 18.
