Photos of public nudity flood social media after the arrest of tourists in Malaysia
AS FOUR tourists face jail for stripping at a sacred Malaysian mountain, it seems the act of getting into the buff on holidays is really common. Warning: Nudity.
A NUMBER of tourists were arrested after posing nude in Malaysia this week and it seems they’re not the only ones taking their gear off.
The group, including UK woman Eleanor Hawkins, remain in custody after posing naked on top of a sacred mountain.
Locals have since blamed them for a subsequent earthquake that killed more than a dozen people.
Following their arrest, a number of blogs, websites and social media pages have surfaced, showing they’re not the only ones exposing themselves at popular tourist destinations.
MyNakedTrip.com and Facebook page Naked at Monuments are just two of the groups that show these photos, mainly of men.
“The official page for the nakedatmonuments blog that looks to spread travel advice, cheer and bare bums around the globe,” Naked at Monuments Facebook says.
“We get naked around the world. Pretty self explanatory really...”
Here’s a look at some of their work.
