A clip posted on social media shows the armed suspect charging at people while running through the streets of Placa de Sant Jaume, as loud screams were heard in the background.

The man can be seen running through a narrow alley surrounded by gothic-style buildings while brandishing his sharp blade.

Chilling screams can be heard from other people nearby who fled the scene to escape the man.

At one point, the man with the knife can be seen facing one of the locals who was filming the incident on his phone.

Local media reports that the man allegedly attacked another person on the head.

Police have now arrested the man and an investigation is underway, according to local media outlet El Caso.

The suspect is said to be suffering from mental health problems, according to the outlet.

The motive behind the attack is still unknown.

Meanwhile, shocking footage showed the moment machete-wielding thugs fought in a vicious street brawl outside a nightclub.

Four people were arrested and two were injured following the incident at Tabu nightclub on Dover Street in Mayfair, London.

The men were then seen walking back to their car as the chaotic brawl died down.

It comes after thugs armed with foot-long machetes fought on a tube station platform in full view of terrified commuters.
