Chaos as yacht hits rocks and sinks at tourist attraction in Mexico

A yacht carrying guests to celebrate the start of 2025 in style crashed into rocks and sank at a popular tourist spot, scary footage shows.
The boat, named Amore Mio, was at La Quebrada, one of the most famous tourist attractions in Acapulco, Mexico, when things went dramatically wrong on January 1. (Watch in the video player above).
The scenic spot is renowned for its famous cliff divers, which have been impressing audiences since 1934, according to Lonely Planet. They dive from heights of 25 to 35 metres.
It is understood divers had been preparing for a presentation when the chaos unfolded in the water below.
Fifteen tourists ended up in the water during the crash but were thankfully rescued by the quick thinking divers.
Eye-witnesses stated that strong currents pulled the boat towards the rocks.
The Mexican Navy cordoned off the area following the incident.
Before it sank, footage showed the boat getting knocked around in rough waters.
Men could be seen rushing down the rocky cliff face to help as the vessel hit the rocks.
A second video of the aftermath showed the yacht almost submerged.
The bow stuck out of the water, bobbing up and down with the waves.
