Federal Minister Tony Burke appeals for missing Angel guitar on Twitter
AIRLINE'S search for an Angel for Federal Minister Tony Burke ends with happy reunion, after fears it had taken flight without him.
IT'S a situation a lot of us are familiar with. Lost luggage can be the blight of any business trip or holiday.
Federal Minister for Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities wasn’t looking for attention when he made this appeal on his Twitter: “Please QANTAS. please find my guitar.”
But the twitterverse swung into action. A hashtag was promptly created by Twitter user @Drag0nista and the hunt for the missing angel began.

The minister said his Cole Clark “Angel” acoustic guitar was waylaid somewhere on his flight between Melbourne and Sydney.
He had contacted the airline but shortly after writing this story news.com.au was able to give Mr Burke the news that Qantas had swiftly located the guitar in Melbourne.
"@Tony_Burke we've found your guitar and will get it to you asap. Rock on! #tonysguitarfound," QantasAirways tweeted.
Upon hearing his guitar was safe Mr Burke revealed the musical influence in his life may have added a more poetic side to his personality.
"The angel is flying home," he said.
He said he had owned the guitar for about a year and described himself as being “not a fantastic guitarist” but said he was sure he was better when he actually had a guitar.
