SO YOU'VE gotten yourself in a dodgy situation. You've ripped off some bad dude who now has a bounty on your head. You've sold state secrets and the government is on your tail. You've accidentally killed the neighbour's cat.

If you've done something so bad you can no longer look your mother in the eye, you only have one option. Get the hell out of the country you live in.

But, where can you go? Well that depends, because a fresh start will cost you. Big time.

These are the hide-outs for the cashed-up who needed a new life. And are ready to pay the big bucks for it.

Countries don't advertise it but wealthy people in need of a relocation and possibly a passport can pay for the honour, Quartz reports.

Please note: It probably is easier to secure the official documents without a criminal record.

Dominica

This is the cheapo option. Plus not only can you get residency, they'll also slip you a citizenship for a cheeky $100k.

Saint Kitts

This little West Indies gem is the perfect hide-out. It has the largest fortress built in the Eastern Caribbean - so for a small fee of $250,000 you can get yourself some anonymity and residency. Oh and they'll chuck in a citizenship just because.

Greece
