A hotel in California is offering discounted rooms based on the temperature.

Ski resort Mammoth Mountain is attempting to lure late season visitors by calculating the discounts based on the high temperature from the previous day.

That means if it gets warmer, you can expect to see room rates drop by the next day.

But there are some conditions: visitors must book at least two nights at the resort between April 14 and May 23, 2013. While there they'll get a discount off the price of the room equal to the highest temperature recorded at the Main Lodge.

If it hits 45 degrees fahrenheit (seven degrees celcius), guests will receive $45 off the price of their room. If the temperature keeps rising, the savings will keep coming.
