THUMBS, feet, weirdly proportioned bodies and bodies that are upside down - here are some of the weirder body statues from around the globe.

Thumbs, Paris and USA

'Le pouce' (the thumb), located in Paris, is an artistic creation by the renowned French sculptor César Baldaccini. Designed in 1965 it's big ... 12 metres high big and it weighs in at 18 tonnes.

There must be something about thumbs. The Clos Pegase Winery in Napa Valley has a variety of sculptures scattered throughout. One of the weirdest is this thumb statue.

Feet, South Korea

Jeju Island is an interesting island in South Korea, most interesting because it's home to quirky Jeju Love Land - a sculpture theme park that features giant statues of nude men, nude women, nude men and women together. As statues go, the most unusual one is perhaps the feet ... with shoes, considering that most of the other statues are nude, and some in rather compromising positions (pictured above).

Penis, China

In northern China in the city of Changchun, there's an amusement park - and inside - an unusual sculpture of a penis. The appropriately named Sky Pillar is almost 10 metres tall. Apparently it's bringing a few extra customers in, although who knows how many are not coming because they are put off by the unusual statue?

Body, China

Club Med Guilin is located within a pretty cool sculpture park. A Taiwanese entrepreneur named Tsao Rhy-Chang founded the park in 1997, dedicating it to the promotion of contemporary art and culture, and today the 46-hectare park has over 150 unique, massive sculptures. This humanesque statue looks very deep in thought.

Upside-down body, Australia

This upside-down monument, at La Trobe in Melbourne, is a contemporary piece. As bodies go it's not unusual, but what makes it unique is that the body is standing on its head. University is known to bring on headaches ...
