IMAGINE being able to roam the world, without ever having to leave home? Sound too good to be true?

Well, not if you live here ...

A plan has been unveiled to build a nomadic city with legs, capable of moving around to soak up a change of scenery.

It would use caterpillar tracks, similar to those used for tanks, to shift location. This is also handy when the residents need to shift to areas where there's more work opportunities.

The 'Very Large Structure' was designed by Madrid-based architectural student Manuel Dominguez.

It would include restaurants, hospitals, universities and sporting facilities.

It's not the first time the concept of a moving city has been proposed. In the 1960s, UK architect Ron Herron came up with the 'Walking City' concept, where huge robotic structures could move around the world

However, the Very Large Structure would include clean energy generation such as solar panels and wind turbines.
