Cheapest Maldives deal ever: How to stay in an overwater bungalow for less
Its expensive price tag has always attracted celebrities and the super rich — until now. This deal to paradise will save you big time.
The Beckhams rang in the new year here, and Jennifer Hawkins and her man were recently spotted enjoying some R&R, heck model Cara Delevingne was even at this exact resort.
The Maldives has always attracted the celebrity crowd thanks to its magical waters and expensive digs. But there’s a way to see this famous stretch of paradise on a more modest budget.
Luxury Escapes has put out their biggest selling Maldives offer ever.
Staying at the luxury Finolhu resort, the deal offers five nights in an overwater lagoon villa for $4699 for two adults (that’s $2350 per person), valued at $12,128. That’s a saving of $7429.
The package includes all meals at the hotel’s restaurants, jet lag spa treatments, nightly after-dinner cocktails, complimentary yoga and activities including kayaking, windsurfing, paddleboarding, snorkelling. Plus, one child stays and eats free.

BEST THINGS TO DO IN THE MALDIVES
“There are luxury options the world over, however, if you really want to indulge then the Maldives should be your go-to,” says Blake Hutchison, General Manager, Luxury Escapes.
“Home to some of the largest coral atolls on earth, this archipelago boasts some of the best overwater villas around.”
Finolhu is a 30-minute seaplane flight from Male, the capital of the Maldives located by a 1.8km sandbank in the UNESCO World Heritage listed Baa Atoll. The resort is also celebrating its first year of business since opening in June 2016.
“It’s a glamorous island playground where the landscape looks just as perfectly airbrushed as the beautiful people who come for the white sand and turquoise waters and stay for the chic style and vibrant Ibiza-style beach clubs,” says Hutchison (cue Delevingne).
So the deal doesn’t include airfares, but there are some seriously good deals going around. Scoot currently has sale fares from $520 return from Perth and $532 return from Sydney.
