Is this mile-high idea a bit of a stretch?
WE’VE seen some bizarre travel products before, but nothing that compares to this one. You won’t believe what it’s meant to do ...
LONGING for some privacy when you fly?
Well this new seat accessory design could be the answer to your prayers.
The B-Tourist “slingshot”, created by designers Idan Noyberg and Gal Bulka and submitted to Des ignBoom.com, is essentially a huge elastic strap that you can put behind the headrest on your seat, and the seat in front. It creates a barrier that you can expand and move around to “hide” from those around you.
It’s meant to be particularly useful when you want to eat or read in private.
There are secret pockets that provide some extra storage space.
It can also be used as a headrest, but we’re not quite sold on how comfortable it would be.
It’s easy to carry around as it’s made from flexible fabric, according to the designers.
OK, it’s is a bit of a stretch, but we have to give them points for ingenuity!
Whether it will take off with passengers is yet to be seen.
