'Here goes something ... I guess': Girl, 10, takes on a 40m ski ramp

WATCH what happens when a ten-year-old girl takes on a formidable K40 at Utah Olympic Park.

IT'S the moment a 10-year-old schoolgirl teeters on the edge of a vast ski drop trying to conquer her terror and make the leap.

"Here goes something… I guess," says Zia Terry as her skis slip at the top of the 40m ramp in Utah Olympic Park.

Video footage of little Zia psyching herself into making the jump to achieve her dreams of being a professional skier has gone viral on YouTube.

It was only last year that the Olympic Committee allowed women to compete in ski jumping, and champion skier Lindsay Van has said that the girl's courage reminds her of herself.

"I grew up on that jump. I did the same thing 20 years ago," Van said. "It seemed huge to me then."
