Emerald Princess to cruise to Australia in 2016
THIS massive 113,000-tonne ship can carry 3082 passengers, and it’s about to become the biggest cruise ship to call Australia home.
PRINCESS Cruises has announced the 3082-guest Emerald Princess will arrive in Australian waters in 2016 for its first season of cruising Down Under.
The superliner will be based in Sydney from November 2016 to April 2017.
Launched in 2007, Emerald Princess is one of Princess Cruises’ largest ships with more than 1500 guest rooms. Among her features are 13 dining options, eight showrooms and
lounges, two nightclubs and four swimming pools (including a swim-against-the-current lap pool), nine-hole putting course, poolside Movies Under the Stars and the luxurious Lotus Spa.
Specialty dining options include The Crown Grill, recently voted one of the “Best Cruise Ship Steakhouses” by USA Today, featuring premium beef and seafood items; and Sabatini’s Italian restaurant.
Princess Cruises Vice President Australia & New Zealand Stuart Allison said the Emerald Princess would cruise from Sydney while four other Princess ships will continue
to offer programs from Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle and Sydney.
Full details of the 2016-17 program for all Princess ships will be released in March, with the program on sale in April.
